JULIUS GOTFRIED FALKE December 12, 1953 - June 24, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julius Falke. He passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends. Julius was predeceased by his father, Julius Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother Hilda; sister Gunhild (Donna) Jack of Vancouver, BC; nieces; nephews; special friends, Barb and Ches; many relatives overseas; many friends from work, and other acquaintances. Julius grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from Red River Community College with a business degree. He worked for several companies with his last employer being Brinks. Julius felt the best part of his last job was the many quality people he was privileged to work with. Julius was known for his passion to collect and read old books. If he was not reading, he was driving somewhere or looking for a weekend at the lake. He was a connoisseur of fine foods, which he shared with friends. His witty sense of humour and gentle ways were well known and appreciated. In accordance with Julius' wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday July 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Flora Ave., Winnipeg. Pastor Ron Nelson will officiate. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julius' name to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division.
